The closest star to the Earth is the Sun. For the Earth, the Sun is a powerful source of cosmic energy. It plays an important role in plant and animal life and shapes important features of the Earth's atmosphere.
The European branch of the International Solar Energy Society (ISES-Europe) carries out various volunteer-based events every year on May 3rd Sun Day.
Information and bibliography department of the Republican Children's Library presented a memory book for virtual readers about "May 3 - International Day of the Sun". Also, the famous poet of Azerbaijani literature Mammad Araz's poem "Sun day" and names of period press materials were mentioned in the presentation.
