On April 2, a children's book exhibition dedicated to "International Children's Book Day" was organized in the Republican Children's Library named after F. Kocherli. Children's writers Sevinj Nurugizi, Fatima Alkhaz, Reyhan Yusifgizi, Lala Umud, Mina Rashid, Solmaz Amanova, Gulzar Ibrahimova, Aygun Bunyadzade participated in the opening ceremony of the exhibition. Students of "Baku Modern Education Complex", "Kaspi High School", "Idrak High School", "Baku Istanbul High School", secondary schools No. 7,8,172,177,194,270 and UGIM No. 1 met with the authors. In the organized exhibition, fairy tales, stories, representations, etc., intended for young children, as well as according to the age level of the readers, will be presented. books were displayed. Welcoming the event participants and guests, the director of the library, Honored culture worker Shahla Gambarova gave the floor to the children's authors after giving detailed information about the event. At the event dedicated to "International Children's Book Day", the first meeting with readers took place with Azerbaijani children's writer, poet, translator Sevinj Nurugizi. The writer discussed his works together with schoolchildren and recited poems touching on different topics. Children's author Fatima Alkhas discussed fairy tales with students. Later, the readers met with Reyhan Yusifgizi, an Azerbaijani writer, author of scientific-mass books and fantastic stories for children, pedagogue, doctor of philosophy in mathematics, associate professor. Reyhan Yusifgizi created brilliant examples of intellectual prose in Azerbaijani literature. The books "Green Eyed Girl", "Prisoners of Time" and "Secret of a Distant Planet" that make up the science fiction trilogy, as well as "My Friend Mimi", "Headless Girls", "She Behind the Door", "Math is Fun" dedicated to artificial intelligence could" and so on. is the author of books.

The exhibition will continue until April 4. During the exhibition, readers will meet with writers Zahid Khalil, Gulzar Ibrahimova, Lala Umid, Mina Rashid, Hulya Jafarova and Zahira Jabir.

The main goal of the event is to raise the role of books in children's intellectual development, to instill love for books, to encourage reading, to connect with our national values and to keep these values alive, and to meet the information needs of our young readers, to familiarize them with children's literature published in our country in the last year. Also, to promote understanding between the reader and the author through children's books, to create an opportunity for children and teenagers to obtain samples of Azerbaijani and international children's literature, to protect and ensure Children's Rights in accordance with the UN Convention by providing access to good books that they will love to read through professional and experienced librarians . 

During the exhibition, readers got acquainted with examples of Azerbaijani and world children's literature in 481 titles published in recent years.
