Today, one of the most pressing issues for humanity is the environmental problem. In order to raise awareness in the fight against this issue and strengthen international solidarity, the President of the Republican of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, has declared 2024 as the "Year of Solidarity for a Green World" in our country. The President's decree further proves that Azerbaijan is among the first countries to join global initiatives in this regard.

In connection with this, the Republican Children's Library named after F. Kocharli held a survey titled "Let's Protect Our Green World!" among children and teenagers. The survey with the readers included 12 questions, such as “What are the ecological problems?”, “What are the main causes of climate change?”, “What is meant by nature?”, “When is International Climate Day?” and more.

Around 30 readers participated in the survey. 70% of the respondents answered the question, "What can be done to avoid harming nature?" with thoughts such as, "Special measures must be taken, we must not pollute the environment with waste, we should not harm plants, we should not destroy forests, and we should not build structures in their place," providing complete and thoughtful responses.

At the end of the survey, the library staff shared the correct answers to the questions, along with educational information on how to protect nature. The participants also had the opportunity to explore the library's exhibition titled "Love Nature, Protect It!"
