On May 23, 2024, an excursion was organized to the Republic Children's Library named after Firidun Bey Kocharli for children involved in social rehabilitation, held at the Sumqayit Social Services Office under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population’s Social Services Agency.

During the excursion, children under the age of 18 with disabilities had the opportunity to explore the library and discover examples of children's literature.

The goal of the excursion was to promote the social inclusion of children from this category, ensure their proper integration into society, organize their leisure time effectively, and enhance their interest in books by fostering a reading culture.

As part of the event, the actors from the Baku Children and Youth Theater performed stage adaptations of the fairy tales "Miss Tiq-Tiq" and "Little Red Riding Hood."

During the "Fairy Tale Hour" held at the library, children’s author and publicist Gulzar Ibrahimova read fairy tales to the young guests.

At the end of the event, the children were given books as gifts.
