From May 15 to 17, 2024, an excursion was organized to the Republic Children's Library named after Firidun Bey Kocharli for the students of School No. 1 UGIM and School No. 83.

During the excursion, the students became familiar with new examples of children's literature available in the library. The library staff provided detailed information to the students about Firidun Bey Kocharli, an educator, pedagogue, and the founder of the children's folklore anthology, as well as his life and works, particularly his book "Gift for Children."

Following this, the students explored various fairy tale books, including interesting Azerbaijani fairy tales, and engaged in a discussion about our modern fairy tales. Additionally, the students were presented with various interesting books for reading aloud, and they were given detailed information about new children's literature for extracurricular reading.

The main goal of organizing the excursions was to familiarize children with the rich book collection of the Republic Children's Library, and to enhance their reading culture and interest in books.
