On 23 June 2025, the Republican Children’s Library named after F. Kocharli hosted an event dedicated to 26 June – Armed Forces Day.

The event began with the playing of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, followed by a minute of silence in memory of our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of our lands. Afterwards, the library staff informed the children about the historical significance of the 44-day Patriotic War and the heroism of the Azerbaijani Army, and recommended a range of books on this topic for further reading.

The children shared their thoughts about the books they had read and touched on the themes of heroism and patriotism. At the end of the discussion, a Q&A session related to the topic was held, and the children’s impressions and thoughts were heard.

At the end of the event, a video clip dedicated to National Hero Xudayar Yusifzada was shown. The children shared their thoughts about the bravery and patriotism shown by our hero.

The main purpose of the event is to instill a sense of patriotism in children and to introduce them to the heroic history of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces
