A large-scale festive event on the occasion of June 1 – International Children’s Day was organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and held at the Seaside National Park. Children experienced unforgettable moments during the colorful event held at the “Dinamo” Square.
The performances of talented children within the framework of the Children's Art Festival held during the holiday were met with great interest by the audience. The interactive zones, entertainment sections, creative workshops, handicraft exhibitions, and reading corners organized within the festival grounds provided children with an engaging environment for both entertainment and learning.
The Republican Children's Library actively participated in the event with interesting and educational presentations. The traditional book exhibition and reading sessions held in the reading pavilion to foster children’s interest in books and reading attracted great attention from the young participants. At the opening of the event, the children participating in the pavilion proudly performed the Azerbaijan State Anthem live. This initiative, organized outdoors, served to develop children's reading habits and to increase their interest in literature. Young readers got acquainted with the exhibited publications and read the books they selected on the spot.
The winners of the poetry competition entitled “Bakhtiyar of the Turkic World”, held within the framework of the event, were announced and awarded. For their outstanding creativity, poetic thinking, and successful teamwork, the first place was awarded to Yusif Allahverdiyev and Jamila Ibrahimli, members of UGIM No. 3; the second place went to Khaladdin Safarli, a 5th-grade student of Secondary School No. 49; and the third place was awarded to Nihat Guliyev, a 10th-grade student of Secondary School No. 187.
