In 14 May 2025 with organization named of F.Kocharly Republic Children Library on the occation of the 102nd  anniversary of the birth of Great Leader Haydar Aliyev the final stage of essay competition on the topic of "Heydar Aliyev with his heritage and values" among schoolchildren aged 12-16 has taken place. Students from a number of secondary schools from Baku and other regions submitted their essays to the competition. 

A total of 60 schools applied to the competition, which was announced on April 15, and only 20 schools successfully fulfilled the competition conditions and moved on to the final stage. 32 students earned the right to participate in this stage with the essays they submitted. 

In the essays submitted to the writing competition, the participants wrote their profound thoughts on the unique role played by Heydar Aliyev in the development of Azerbaijan, his philosophy of statehood, and the invaluable work he did to preserve the national heritage. The students' writings skillfully depicted the brilliant personality, far-sighted policy, and invaluable services of the Great Leader to the Azerbaijani people.

The event featured the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, followed by a minute of silence in memory of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the liberation of our lands from occupation. Then, a library employee presented an extensive report on the life and activities of Heydar Aliyev, as well as his invaluable services to our people.

According to the results of the competition, Mikayilli Laman, a student of the Ilyas Efendiyev Elite Gymnasium, won the first place, Fidan Fattahova, a student of secondary school No. 247, won the second place, and Aziza Bahruzlu, a student of the XXI Century International Education and Innovation Center, won the third place. The winners were awarded with books titled "Great Azerbaijani" and "Leader", diplomas and various gifts. At the same time, other students who participated in the competition were also awarded with certificates of appreciation, books and the "Goy Gurshagi" children's magazine for their activity.

Also, within the framework of the event, a video clip dedicated to the National Leader Heydar Aliyev was shown, and an electronic database prepared for virtual users based on the essays of the participants was presented.

The goal of the competition is to further promote the rich heritage of Heydar Aliyev and his contribution to national values ​​among teenagers, and to create an opportunity for them to express their opinions.
